Larvae of Julodis

All species of Julodis have larvae living free in the soil, eating roots of various plants (bushes, trees and herbs). They live in many different soils, but always they must ne quite dried. So, these Buprestidae can't survive where it rains too much or freatic level is too high, and they are mostly limited to subtropical regions, especially desertic, subdesertic and steppic lands.
