109° Circolo Didattico "Vittorio Piccinini" General aims of educational plan: The school is a place where each student can work to build his/her own identity and his/her own knowledge, starting to understand the complexity of the reality. Educational action will promote in the pupils a positive and creative cultural attitude, as a gradual development of their personal critical mind; the school will give value to the several kinds of minds. The school works to promote pupils’ self consciousness and their role in the group, in order to acquire the concept of responsibility. Responsibility helps children to manage their own engagement, to find personal and strong motivations, to give personal contribute to common growth. In this contest, the mistake and its management has a central role as a starting point to build up new strategies and increase self esteem. Didactic aims As the competence is not merely a sum of contents, didactic action will mainly direct to activate process of knowledge. Essential condition for individual growth is the relation between Self and environment, to develop the communication of every child. Exploring their own bodies and their natural means of communication, children can acquire self consciousness and knowledge of their communicative tools. The school give value to any form of difference, cultural and social, increasing the partecipation to the common activity Methodology will work on core points of the subjects, to build around them conceptual maps
Structures: The school is composed by 3 buildings: one at via Fiorentini (" Vittorio Piccinini "), where is also the direction office, one at via Verdinois ( Verde Rocca) with some classes of infant school and one at via Mario Borsa ( A. B. Sabin) with only 3 classes of infant school. In each building there is a kitchen with a dining hall. The schools are located in the area called Tiburtino East, ( first outskirts) between two main roads, the motor-way A24 and via Tiburtina. The high speed urban way of via Fiorentini cuts the area into two separate districts, Casal Bruciato and Verde Rocca. Families of this school are mainly of middle class, with both parents working for long time ; children are asked to stay at school for 6-8 hours. We have an increasing demand of school services before and after school timetable. Our school in the area is also a place of social aggregation: parents are organized in an association, which aims are to cooperate with the school in organizing a more efficient service. They also organize several initiatives as music groups, excursions, debates.

Integration of pupils with different form of difficulties Integration will be guarantee, with these modalities: handicapped children follow the same educative and didactic objectives of the whole class group, but, for each child with special needs, an individual project define specific didactic objectives, individual strategies and simplified contents. Children with special needs stay, for most of the school time, in their classroom and work with their classmates; they will be tested together with others. Specific tools as games, didactic units, support materials will be prepared for their individual levels of competence and their own time of activity. Specific groups of work (GLH) elaborate individual educational plans. Support teachers work in team with the other teachers of the class, as responsible, together with the others, of the whole educative process of the class group.
