TITLE OF THE PROJECT: T.E.S.E.C.
TEACHING SCIENCE IN A EUROPEAN CONTEXT.

THE CONTENTS OF THE PROJECT:

  • 1)
    Information about aspects of the surroundings of the place where the school stands (in a narrow aswell as in a broader sense). Hereby can be thought of the landascape, the type of villages where the pupils live and the place where the school stands.
  • 2)
    Information abaut geological, historical and social aspects of the origin and development of the area.
  • 3)
    Information abaut housing, infrastrcture and culture of the area.
  • 4)
    Information abaut plants and animals which are characteristic of the area at issue.
  • 5)
    Information abaut the manner of teaching in the partecipating.
  • 6)
    The performance of measuring clemate factors in the four seasons.
  • 7)
    Make aninquiry into energy sorces used and into theuse of energy (uses and amounts of energy and the costs for that).
  • 8)
    The processing of the measure and inquiry results into tables and graphics and drawing conclusions from those results.
  • 9)
    An envirnmental inquiry. Here is thought of affection or pollution by acidify and other chermical influences, but also of affection of the environment by traffic, industrialisation and by further human activities.
    The most important aim of the project for its participating students is that they will come to realize by exchanging information about the same issues in threr different contries that besides differences therzare also similarities betwcen people from varidus countries. Forthermore the project involves schools from differen order, primary adn secondary till 17 years of age. Pupils working together could contribute to the integration of the different schools in the three contries involved. Childern shold also know the differences betwan live in villages and cities and project can help them to understand each others.
